Tips To Keep Your Home & Yourself Warm This Winter

Even during winter, you can keep your home warm and comfortable while keeping your electric bills down. We present below few tips:
1. Check and replace weatherstripping: If weatherstrippings on any doors or windows are worn out, they can let in cold air into the house. According to Black Hills Energy, around 12 percent or more of home’s heat loss occurs through windows and doors. Thus it is important to leak proof them. So check for any worn out weatherstrippings on any doors or windows.
Check all the rooms and if you find any worn and torn weatherstrippings it is time to repair or replace them. Some weatherstrippings may need to be replaced every few years due to wear and tear. It is quite simple to replace them and don’t need any professional people to do that for you. Anyone in the house can do it by pulling off the old one and putting a new one in its place.
This is an important step you can take to prevent heat loss from your home. As they say prevention is better than cure. If you prevent heat loss you may not need to turn up the furnace or heater more than necessary, thus preventing extra electric bills.
2. Adjusting Door Thresholds:Can you see light coming in through your front door? If yes, you are losing heat through that gap between the door and the threshold. You might be running a heater to heat up your house and a lot of that heat is escaping through this gap right under the door. Make sure there isn’t any gap between the door and thresholds. The heat loss is costing you money in terms of increased electricity bills.
Some thresholds have few screws that can let you adjust its height, thus eliminating gaps. Turn these screws counterclockwise to lift the threshold until you cannot see the sunlight from outside beneath your door. However don’t raise it so high that it makes opening and closing the door a problem. Also make sure the door doesn’t drag on the threshold as it can affect the weatherstripping.
3. Plug holes in the walls: Gas lines, electric cables or pipes that come into your house usually have gaps around them which might have been filled up with caulk. But the caulk cracks and peels off after some time leaving gaps which can let in cold outside air during severe winters. This might not seem as a big thing but can affect how warm your house feels inside.
These gaps are also places which can let in insects or mice into your house. It is a good idea to seal these gaps by using expanding foam. This will help in keeping out the cold outside air and enjoying a warm, comfortable temperature inside.
4. Use Portable Heaters: Space heaters can be used in places like the living room where the whole family gathers. During this time you can turn down the furnace temperature. The house may become cooler due to this but you will be warm. For every degree below 70 F that you turn down the furnace, you will save up to 2–3 percent on your power bills.
If you are looking to buy a furnace please check out this short guide: how to buy a heating furnace
5. Utilize wood fireplace: Wood fireplaces can provide more heat than gas fireplaces. They can also be more cost effective since you can burn scrap wood, sawdust, fallen trees or branches, thus saving some valuable money.

6. Make use of curtains:This is another cool, cost-effective idea to keep your homes warm. Hang heavy curtains or blankets over windows. The curtains will act as an extra barrier to prevent the cold outside air from reaching inside.
An additional thing you can do is to hang curtains or blankets around your bed while sleeping at night. This will help in trapping body heat and providing insulation during the night for a warm, comfortable sleep. However make sure there is proper ventilation and the blankets or curtains do not block fresh air completely because you need supply of fresh air during sleep. Furthermore if you place rugs on tile, concrete or hardwood flooring it will help in insulation efforts.
7. Chimney Balloons:The problem with using fireplaces is that when they are not in use, the warm air from your home is escaping through the chimneys. You can use an inflatable chimney balloons to prevent such a scenario. These balloons are available online on sites such as Amazon. They don’t cost a lot, probably around 50 bucks or so but can save you more than $100 per year in power bills, so they are a good investment.
The balloons can be blown up and stuck up the chimney. In case you forget to take them out before starting a fire, the balloon is set to deflate automatically. So don’t worry about the house being filled with smoke. However, keep in mind the balloons may become difficult to use or become sooty after many repeated uses and may need to be replaced after a while.
8. Use Sun To Your Advantage:Even though there may be freezing temperatures outside still the rays of the sun can bring about warmth and heat into your home. Keep your curtains open during the day. If any tree branches or plants are blocking sunlight from reaching inside, trim them.
Sunlight is free and an excellent source of heat. So make best use of it to get some warmth into the house and also reduce the furnace needs.
9. Lock Doors And Windows Early:Lock doors and windows early in the evening so that they will lock in tightly. As the evening progresses and temperatures fall, the windows might freeze in their positions. If the windows freeze in their current position, they may require lot of force and efforts to lock them tightly. If you don’t lock them tightly, the cold air can infiltrate into your rooms.
10. Keep Yourself Warm:
In addition to the above tips, it is important to keep yourself warm during winters. Eat warm foods like soups or spicy things and also stick to organic foods. Use several layers of blankets on the bed to keep warm during sleep. Also wear warm clothes and put on woollen socks and sweaters.

Finding Time & Motivation To Maintain A Clean & Tidy House

How wonderful it feels when your home is clean and not messy. It is important to keep your house neat and free of germs. All things should be in their proper places so that you can easily find them when required. However, most times, this is easier said than done, specially when you have kids at home.

When there are kids your workload can increase to keep the house clean. Even if you clean things up, very soon you will find the house has become messy again with toys and other stuff lying around everywhere.
For working people, even if there are no kids at home, it might become difficult to keep their home neat and tidy as they feel tired after getting home from a long day at work and don’t have the energy and will to clean up things. They might lazily throw about clothes and stuff here and there. You might put off doing work and eventually the work will pile up so much that it feels like moving a mountain. The important thing is to not let the work pile up big time.
Let us divide this article into 3 parts:
#1 — In first part we shall address the problem of how to find time and inclination to clean the house, even if you are tired and just reached home after a hectic day at work.
#2 — In this part we shall discuss tips and strategies to get the help of other house members in maintaining cleanliness.
#3 — Here we shall discuss ways to find inspiration to want to have a neat and beautiful house so that you start finding it easy to do the household chores which you used to run away from earlier.
Part 1 — Finding Motivation to Keep House Clean
How many times people plan on cleaning their house only to find they aren’t motivated enough or tired, and thus decide to do it later. How can we solve this problem?
The solution to the problem may not be simple but it is definitely doable. It is recommended that you take small steps.
For example, if you come home from outside and find your room is a complete mess with clothes lying all around, and also your kitchen sink is full of unwashed utensils, what do you do in such a scenario?
If you decide to handle all of this right now it will make you feel overwhelmed. So what do you do? You decide that you are only going to clean the room today. If even that feels too much you may think , ‘Oh ok! I will give just 20 minutes of time to clean up the room. Whatever I am able to sort out within this time I will do it, the rest will be done tomorrow.’
So you decide on a time frame which feels comfortable and doable to you. Do not go for a timeframe which makes you cringe and makes you want to avoid this unpleasant task.
After deciding on a time frame, start immediately. Do not think that you will first have a cup of coffee and then start cleaning. This is a trick your mind is playing on you to make you avoid the work. If you fall for the trick you will end up having a cup of coffee then another thought is going to pop up in your mind, ‘Oh! I will just check my email for 5 minutes as there is something urgent to check’.
The important thing is to start immediately. If you feel like procrastinating, remind yourself that you are just doing this only for 10–20 minutes or whatever time you have decided.
Once the time is up, it is up to you now whether you want to continue for some more time or stop. If you want to stop there is nothing wrong with it. But mostly what will happen is that you will want to continue further. This is the power and effectiveness of getting started and having small targets which you can easily reach.
#2 — Enlisting The Help of All Household Members

It is not an easy task to maintain cleanliness in the house all by yourself. You would need the help of others. So we shall address this issue now.
First up, if you are living with your family then enlist the help of your spouse. Talk to him or her and tell them that we need to take some time out everyday, even if it is as little as 10 minutes to do our bit for the house.
Try to divide different tasks so that each person can be held responsible. As an example, you might take over the responsibility of washing the dishes while your spouse will do the vacuum cleaning or some other task.
It is important to get the kids to help you. The benefit of this would be that it would inculcate a sense of neatness in them and develop in them a habit of doing the tasks they are responsible for, co-operating with others in getting some work done, overcoming procrastination and laziness. These habits can carry over in their adult lives and can prove very beneficial to them.
While enlisting the help of others make sure to assign each small, do-able tasks. Aim for small targets which do not make anyone feel overwhelmed, at least initially.
#3 — Tips to Get Inspired To Maintain Clean House
Finally it is important to always be inspired and motivated to have a neat and clean home so that you will do the household chores on time and not put them off.
You can paste pictures of clean and beautiful looking homes at different places like on the refrigerator, doors etc. In your kitchen, you can paste a picture of clean looking kitchen with the wash basin empty and not filled with dirty unwashed dishes.
You may find these pictures in magazines, newspapers or search on internet then take large, color printouts.
Also when you feel laziness in doing any task, remind yourself how good it will look when the task is done; how clean your house will look and how satisfactory it will feel when you have been able to overcome your laziness and get the work done.
However if you are too busy, sick, have a large house and feel the above tips won’t work for you then you can enlist the help of Green Ladies Cleaning services to maintain your house.

Start Your Career On The Right Note - An Important Read

"Your work is going to fill a large part of your life, and the only way to be truly satisfied is to do what you believe is great work. And the only way to do great work is to love what you do. If you haven’t found it yet, keep looking. Don’t settle. As with all matters of the heart, you’ll know when you find it. "  - Steve Jobs (Apple)

It is important to start your career on the right note. Many people, in their eagerness to get a job and start their earning life would accept any job that comes their way. They just want to get employed somewhere and somehow. They don't start their career on the right note by choosing the field that is right for them.

Do not make this mistake. Do not enter any profession or field that comes first. Exercise some patience and self control. Do not be hasty and do not get too anxious if any suitable job in your desired field does not come to you quickly.

What you need to do before you start job hunting is to take a good measure of your skills, talents, passions, interests, likes and dislikes as well as your strengths and weaknesses. Take a few blank sheets of paper and write down detailed, complete lists of all things that come to mind for the above categories.

For example, on one sheet of paper write down all your strengths. Take another sheet and write down your weaknesses. Take time for each list. Let your mind come up with items to add to the list. Do not hurry to complete the list as quickly as you can. Just keep jotting down whatever thing comes to the mind to be added.

In the same way, make a list of your passions and interests. Make a list of things that you like and another list containing things that you dislike. I am talking of likes and dislikes related to work. I am not talking of the foods you like or dislike. Rather note down whatever tasks or work you particularly enjoy and also the tasks that make you cringe and make you procrastinate. Add each of these tasks that you can think of to its respective list.

An important point - there is no need to try and finish all these lists in one day or one sitting. Let your mind dwell over things and keep giving you more things to be added. Sometimes you might find that as you are sitting with your friend and chatting casually some things come to mind in which you have lot of interest. These things might not have occurred to you earlier, but only after a couple of days.

Anyways always keep an open mind and make sure to write down whatever new idea comes to you. Do not think you have already completed this particular list and dont want to add anything new. Very soon you may get a feeling of completeness or emptiness which signifies that you have exhausted/completed all things for that particular list.

Once you have these lists ready, now is the time to go through these in detail so that you become more aware of your own personality and taste. There may be many things here that may surprise you. You might make many strange discoveries about yourself going over these lists.

Keep mulling over these lists for few days. No need to rush or hurry. Avoid the temptation to hurry things. Let the mind absorb what it has seen and observed and discovered. Let it all sink in. Very soon some ideas may form in your mind and heart about what direction would be best for you. The important thing is not to force yourself to come up with something. Let it happen by itself in its own sweet time.

After a few days you can take the lists and shortlist some items from your likes, passions, strengths and interests. See what you can do with these. How can you utilise these for earning money or getting employed? For example if one of your strengths is helping others solve their problems, think of where this kind of strength would be useful. This strength would probably be useful in management or human resources area where you have to work with people and it is your responsibility to look over their problems and help them solve the problems.

A person with such a strength is better off in working in jobs where he has to deal with people. Such a person is unlikely to be happy and satisfied in a technical or clerical job where interaction with other people is minimal.

So you can use these lists for better self-awareness and for wisely choosing which career field would be better for you. Try to find about what jobs exist which would suit your style, strengths and likes. If you are able to find a job which is suited to your taste and strengths, you may find it lot easier to make  progress and achieve big milestones in your career.

Warren Buffet reportedly said once, 'I did not work a single day in my life'. What he meant was he is so passionate about what he does, he loves his field so much that it does not feel like work. It feels like pleasure, fun and play. That is how you should feel about your work and your chosen field. If you don't feel that way then you are probably not in the right field.

There are many professionals with seemingly successful careers but on the inside they feel exhausted and unsatisfied. They feel something is missing in their lives. Every morning they dread getting out of their beds and going to office for the simple reason they don't love their work. They are just doing it for money. For this reason it is important to choose the right career from the start because once you take the first few steps, it can get very difficult to go back and start all over again in a new field.

And dont forget to check out our huge directory of jobs to find the right one for you: jobsource1.com

A Fun, Exciting Way To Decorate Your House Walls With Wall Plates

If you want to do something crazy and fun with your house walls then stick plates on them to make them look beautiful and novel. This might seem a crazy suggestion but you will be surprised how many people around the world do it to decorate their walls.
Many interior decoration experts specialize in this. Decorating your walls with plates is an inexpensive way to beautify the look of your rooms. Plates can be an alternative to using large paintings or wall papers. If you do not like paintings or if you find them too expensive, then plates may be just the thing for you.
Still not convinced? Let us see some pictures below to show you how others are doing it:

Let’s Get Started:Now that you had a good look at how walls look with plates on them, let us explain a few things you need to keep in mind if you want to implement this idea.
1. Use a lot of white plates while decorating the wall. The white plates look good and are a safe bet for people who are not sure which color would suit their walls better. Moreover, if you have dark-colored walls, the white plates would look super cool on them.
Some people would like to put plates of many different colors together. If you want your room to look lively and colorful you can employ this strategy. This can look very pretty if done properly.
2. Don’t use plates on all walls of a room. If you have a big hall or living room, then sticking plates on one of the walls may give it a good look. It will bring that section of the room into focus.
3. While symmetry is good in design, sometimes being wild and asymmetrical can be fun. This is specially true with the case of wall plates. Having plates of different shapes and sizes can give a lively and fancy look, rather than having all plates of same size and shape.
4. You can use disc hangers or wire plate hangers to hang the plates. The disc hangers are a good option if you want a clean look. You may also use a paperclip and super glue at the back of the plate to stick them to the walls. You can search online for suitable plate hangers and decide which one among the many options suit you better.
5. The next thing to consider is the design in which you are going to hang the plates. There are many ways to go about this. You can form a square, rectangle, circle or diamond shape with the plates. Or you may go for a totally different or fancy shape.
If you are feeling really creative or wild then you may just start hanging up plates on the fly without any plan or pattern. The results can be sometimes mindbogglingly amazing and gorgeous!
6. When you choose a design, take measurements of the plates and trace out the design on paper which you can stick on the wall. Once everything is to your liking, you can remove the paper and put the plates in their place, fixing them with hangers or pins.
7. Make sure, while hanging the plates, that the color on the walls does not come off as it would spoil the whole look. First of all, you have to be careful so that the paint does not come off due to your mistake or rough handling.
Secondly the paint should also be of good quality so that it does not come off easily. If you want your house painting job to be done in a professional and neat manner then you can check out this service — house painters
8. The next thing to be careful about is to make sure the plates are securely stuck to the walls without any danger of them falling. If they are not properly stuck in place, there is a danger of them falling on someone. The plate may fall on the head of somebody or it may fall on a little child. To avoid such unpleasant accidents, take proper precautions to ensure safety.
9. Proper lighting can enhance the effect of the wall plates. Test and experiment with different kinds of lighting to see whether the plates look more beautiful in a bright room or when the lights are dim.
10. Selecting the right kind of plates is an important job. You can select either plastic plates, ceramic or fine china ones. You may go for artistic plates which have intricate designs on them or plain ones with little to no design or pattern on them. Many of the wall plates come in vintage or middle-century styles.
11. If you want any help or assistance you can also check the various online resources at your disposal. For example, if you are unsure of what type and what color plates to use, you can check out different home decoration sites for ideas. You may check out Pinterest where people have shared images of their rooms with plates hanging from the walls.
Explore the various ideas and use them as inspiration to spark your own creativity. Why try to reinvent the wheel when you can check what others are doing. I am not saying to copy them as it is, but at least you can use some of the ideas or modify them to your liking.
While reading blogs and articles related to home decoration, you may come across tips and information which might prove useful. Make a note of these so that you can implement them. Next, you may look at shopping sites like Amazon etc to order specially designed wall plates.
All in all, have fun with decorating your walls with plates. You may impress a lot of guests who come to your house. You won’t find this thing being done in lot of houses, so there is a huge likelihood that people may be very impressed when they see something so rare and uncommon such as this. Have fun!

Eco-Friendly Living: Simple, Practical Tips to Make Your Home Eco-Friendly

Homes are a place for relaxation. We seek comfort, privacy, warmth and protection from our homes. We like to unwind and relax ourselves after a tiring day at work. Our homes provide us with peace of mind, away from the noise and hustle-bustle of the outside world.

For this reason, people want to have all kinds of facilities in their homes. They want their homes to look beautiful and have all the comforts and facilities that technology can bring them. However we must not forget the environment and the impact we have on it due to our lifestyle.

We should try to have homes which are environment friendly. Excessive use of technology may provide us with temporary comforts but may adversely impact the environment. I am not against the use of technology in homes. By all means, make best possible use of it, but try to stay away from excesses.

For this reason we should try to develop and live in green homes. Green home is a type of house which is environment friendly. This means that green homes do not harm the environment. Green home, eco-friendly, environment friendly or nature-friendly homes all mean the same thing.

More and more people are trying to build eco-friendly homes due to rising awareness against pollution and other environmental hazards that modern living is causing. The popularity of green homes is on the rise also because of the fact that green technologies are becoming more and more affordable and accessible to the common man.

There are many simple things you can do to make your own home eco-friendly. The most basic thing you can do is to plant more trees. If you have a large ground in your house, make best use of it to plant trees abundantly.

What trees would you plant? The answer to this question would depend on a lot of factors like the climate of your place among other things. You may even grow different plants in different seasons. During warm seasons you may go for cucumber or tomato plants as these are warm season vegetables. During the colder months you may go for crops like lettuce, broccoli, carrots etc.

Harnessing Solar Power
Other things you can do to make your house eco-friendly is to install solar lights wherever possible, like in the driveway, garage, patio etc. Solar lights get energy from the sun and thus can help you save on your electricity bills.

As you know solar energy is free for all. If you install solar panels in your home and try to generate as much electricity for your home needs as possible from solar energy, you can end up paying far less electricity bills than what you are used to paying now.

The initial cost of installing solar panels might be a little high, but the cost is decreasing day by day as we make more progress with utilizing natural resources for our energy needs. You may get incentives, discounts, tax redemption and other facilities from the government if you plan to install solar panels. Try to find out what kind of benefit plans the government in your area is offering for installing solar panels. If you are in Brisbane area, then you may check out this site for Brisbane solar panels installation.

If you install solar panel and are able to produce excess power that is more than your personal requirements, you may be able to sell it to a local utility company and thus make some money. In a few years time, a lot of houses around the world may start using solar power for their energy needs.

There are other sources of renewable, green energy besides solar power. Windmills to harness wind energy is another alternative but it may not be practical for small or medium sized homes as large space is required to install many windmills in order to generate sufficient amount of power.

Reducing Energy Wastage
Green homes are mainly focused on efficient energy usage and less wastage. So you not only have to think about generating energy through natural ways, but also worry about using as less energy as possible without compromising on your necessities. One of the things you can do towards this end is to install lot of windows in strategic locations in your home to let fresh air and natural lighting come inside.

Doing so would mean you won't have to use much artificial lighting in your home as you allow lot of natural light from outside due to the presence of well-planned windows. You may use transparent windows to let more natural light into your house. A smart idea to save more electricity is to install mirror and glasses in your living room and other places so that they reflect or refract light, making the room appear brighter and more spacious.

Anyways, no matter how good your windows setup may be,  you may need to use artificial lighting at night. It is advisable to use flourescent lights as they prevent the emission of dangerous greenhouse gases. Furthermore, these lights are highly energy-efficient, helping you save money on your power bills.

Using recycled water for lawns is another simple thing you can do to minimize wastage of an important natural resource like water. Wherever possible try to re-use and recycle items in order to minimize wastage. Materials like aluminium and iron are limited and their supply may eventually run out. If we want to make these important metals last longer then we should get into the habit of recycling and reusing.

Minimize the use of paper as much as you can as lot of wood is needed to produce paper. Even though supply of wood can be replenished, it is not so easy as trees take a long time to grow. Hence paper also needs to be recycled. Take care not to waste even a simple thing as a piece of paper if you truly care about the earth's environment and the lives of people living on this planet!

Conclusion
So if you have decided to choose a greener lifestyle, then I applaud your decision. It is a wise and morally sound decision as the environment has been severely contaminated and polluted by human efforts in the last 100 or so years. People are now becoming more and more aware of their responsibility towards the protection of the environment. There are many NGO organizations, and even the government is with you. If all of us can do our small bit, it may hopefully lead to drastic improvements in the near future.

A Short Guide To Using Rugs In Your Kitchen

It can be dangerous to have rugs or other items made of cloth in the kitchen due to grease, oil spills, spilling of other things which could leave stains,  and also due to the possibility of the cloth items catching fire.

In spite of these risks, there are some advantages as well. Firstly they provide cushion to your feet as you usually have to spend a lot of time standing while cooking. Secondly, if you come from outside and head straight over to your kitchen, you may wipe your shoes or feet on the rug so that the floors are not spoiled with dirt, mud or whatever else might be stuck to your shoes or feet.

From an aesthetic viewpoint, having rugs can provide your kitchen with some added color and style. It looks beautiful to see stylish and nicely designed rugs which blend well with the overall look and theme of your kitchen.

Buy Rugs As Per Your Needs:
If your kitchen has dark colored cabinets, having a bright, colorful rug can give it a nice counterpooint look. On the other hand, it might be a good idea to have dark colored rug in a kitchen which primarily has whitish or light-colored theme or feel to it. Large, dark-colored rugs can add warmth to the kitchen.

You can have a big rug that covers a wide area or a couple of small ones. The rugs are usually rectangle or square in shape but can be of other shapes as well. Circular rugs also look cool and are suitable for wide, large kitchens.

If you have a narrow kitchen a rectangular rug would be more suitable. If you have a small kitchen, using a long, narrow rug can actually make it look bigger!

Take a good look at your kitchen in order to determine whether to go for a bigger or a small rug. Consider how much space you want to cover. Some people just want a little cushion under their feet near the sink area while others would want a larger part of the floor covered.

You need different types of rugs for different areas of your home and kitchen. The high traffic areas which are frequently visited need durable and stain-resistant rugs. Kitchen entrances, hallways, etc are examples of high traffic areas.

For the low traffic areas you may go for rugs which are lighter-colored or made with softer materials. You are the best person to know which areas of your kitchen or house are high traffic and which ones are low traffic.

Natural Fiber Rugs Are The Way To Go:
If you are planning to buy rugs for your kitchen, I would advise you go for natural-fiber rugs as they have an earthy texture to them which makes them the favorite of many interior designers. These are also more durable and obviously eco-friendly.

Let us explore a few types of natural rugs which you may use.

Jute Rugs:

The imperfect texture of jute rugs adds an earthy beauty to them. Jute rugs are mostly brownish in color though they can be dyed in a range of other colors to beautify their appearance.

Among the benefits of jute rugs is its softness. As jute comes from a plant's stalk and not its leaves, it has a super-soft feel to it, almost like wool. That is why it is great to have it in your kitchen.

However, the softness comes with its own set of disadvantages. You need to vacuum clean the rug regularly and make sure to quickly blot spills if you want your rug to last longer and keep looking good. The softness means these are less durable than other natural-fiber rugs. Thus it is a good idea to keep them in low or medium traffic areas.

You need to take good care of jute rugs. In case any liquid spills on it, dry it quickly with a cotton cloth which would absorb the stain before the jute material does so. Keep in mind that vegetable fibers are highly absorbent so you need to act fast whenever anything spills on the rug.

Dirt can accumulate very quickly within the jute fibers. It is recommended to vacuum both sides of the rug, as well as the floor on which it is placed in order to avoid dirt from accumulating and residing in the fibers. Also remember that you should not expose jute rugs too long to high humidity as humidity can cause it to deteriorate quickly. Best way to dry them is to place the rugs in the sun to dry naturally.

Even though this may seem like too much hard work, the payoff is quite good. The jute rugs can look lovely in your kitchen and they may give long service if proper, timely care is taken. They are a much better choice than artificial rugs that it is worth a little extra time and effort to maintain them in proper condition.

Sea Grass:
Another excellent natural fiber alternative is sea grass. It offers lovely texture for your rugs. As it is non-porous, it can be highly water-resistant. Sea grass rugs are usually bound with cotton or leather.

These rugs are stain-resistant and can last pretty long. They are a good eco-friendly choice as sea grass is fast growing and easy to harvest. Though these rugs are durable, you need to ensure you take good care of them and vacuum them regularly.

The big disadvantage of sea grass rugs is that it does not dye well with other colors, so you will have limited color choices while selecting them for your kitchen.

Hemp:
This is another popular choice. People have been using hemp fiber in the textile industry from hundreds of years. In the natural state, hemp is of dark or coppery brown color but can be dyed with different colors and woven into complex designs.

Hemp is very strong, durable and mildew resistant. The texture can be coarse initially but will usually soften with continued use. Over time some shreds may come out of it.

Kitchen remodeling is a big task which may need an expert in order to do it efficiently. Please check us out if you wish to make your kitchen look beautiful and eye-catching.

Entrepreneurs - Don't Take Advice From People Who Don't Understand Your World

If you are  a person with an entrepreneurial bent of mind you will have noticed from quite an early age that you are somehow different than most people. You want to do things that are different from what most others would do. Your ideas and plans seem impractical and even crazy to many. If that is the case then read the advice that follows very carefully. It can save you tons of frustration, anger, wasted hours and wasted energy.

Whenever you plan to do something, like starting a new business venture or are thinking of something crazy like quitting your job to start your own business, it is of no use to go to such people for advice who have never been entrepreneurs, those who resist change and who shun and run away from novel experiences.

In such cases, it is far better if you do not speak your intentions but rather keep them concealed within your breasts, and go on to do what you want to do because if you tell others they are going to stop you in many different ways.. So it is better not to tell them when they will not understand you. These people are not used to going against social conditioning or going against the stream to do things which they like or live life according to their terms.

What is the use of taking advice from people who have never lived life fully, who don't know the meaning of living and who are just following the norms of society and do what everybody else does or just do what they are told. They lack the courage to even think otherwise, even in their minds and imaginations, let alone actually doing the deed of going against popular customs. You and them are not the same. They will never understand why you want to take such a big risk and leave a good job to start your own business. They will think you are crazy or someone has brainwashed you.

The elders among them, who like to think themselves as wise and experienced, would tell you that you have not seen life, you don't know its ups and downs, you are immature and impractical. They will say that you would do well by listening to the advice of seniors as you are not fit to make your own decisions. These are timid, poor souls who cannot understand your crazy whims nor can you look at the world from their viewpoint. Their well-meaning words of wisdom are unlikely to resonate with you.

It is then best not to discuss your entrepreneurial plans or  ideas with them in the first place. However if you commit the mistake of mentioning the ideas then the next best thing is not to argue with these people as that will only drain you needlessly of your energy. These people will make you feel stupid and crazy to even think the way you are thinking. Better to stay quiet and say nothing. Eat your words and just listen silently to their 'sound' and 'practical' advice. When they are done, politely ask their leave and do what you desire.

If you are really seeking advice then ask people who will understand you, who think like you and who have done similar things in their lives. But be warned that such people are very few. They are rare to find. If you can meet someone who has done something similar to what you wish to do, you can speak to that person. Otherwise keep silent and keep your own counsel. Not consulting anyone or taking advice is better than taking it from fools.

I am not implying that you should not take advice and do whatever comes to your mind and act irresponsibly on impulse without second thought. But take advice from the right people. Who have done what you wish to do, have been there where you want to go. Or at least they should have an open mind and you should know them to be wise and understanding. You are welcome to discuss your matter with such people. At the same time, don't forget to consult yourself! It is important to think hard, maybe ponder repeatedly before taking any major step which can have huge impact on your life and the lives of those around you.

People with an adventurous or entrepreneurial spirit usually like to give things a try on impulse. If any thought comes to their mind and they find it interesting or fascinating, they don't care much about other things and just want to give it a try. They are more readily willing to experiment with new things. They actually want to have rich and varied experiences in life so that they can live life fully and experience all it has to offer. These people are almost always the first to get up after they have fallen down, try one more time after they have failed on previous attempt, and be willing to take risks to get to where they want to go.

They do not want to live life according to rigid set of rules passed down to them by their peers or parents. To them living is all about experimenting, experiencing, learning, growing and enjoying. They prefer to enjoy the thrill of a new experience rather than just stick to old ways. They might even get bored easily and crave new things. Are you one among them?
