Don't EVER eat rose leaves or petals unless they are *organic* flowers, and even then, be careful! Roses that are not grown organically are completely contaminated with chemical pesticides and insecticides. I had to quit my job as a florist because of the skin reaction I had just from touching the flowers day-in and day-out. They are certainly not safe for eating.
