How to stop mental chatter

Do you suffer from mental chatter - thoughts constantly running through your mind? Do you want to stop this chatter so that you can enjoy a few moments of mental peace? A simple technique here:

Close your eyes and just focus on your breathing in and out. Don't do anything special, just follow your breathing. If you keep doing this for a few minutes, you may notice your breathing becoming more relaxed and your mind calming down. Now try to pay attention to your heartbeat as well. Again, do nothing special and just focus on your breathing and listen to your heartbeat. A few minutes of this exercise can help in really calming you down and stopping your mental chatter.
